Terms of service
Effective October 9, 2026. By installing or using the SafeRepro Chrome extension (“SafeRepro”), published by EthanApp, you agree to these terms.
1. What SafeRepro is
SafeRepro creates bug reports from web pages (screenshots, recordings, console and network logs, repro steps), redacts likely secrets, and lets you download the reports or send them to issue trackers you connect. It runs in your browser; see the privacy policy for what it handles.
2. You decide what you capture and share
Capture only pages and data you are allowed to, and follow your employer's and your customers' rules about sharing them. Redaction is automatic pattern matching: it can miss a secret or hide something harmless, and it doesn't change text you typed or what is visible in a screenshot. Review each report before you share it; you are responsible for what you send.
3. Issue trackers
When you connect Jira, GitHub or Linear, SafeRepro uses your token to create issues on your behalf. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. Keep your tokens to the smallest permissions SafeRepro needs, and disconnect a tracker to delete its token from your computer.
4. Your data
Reports are stored on your computer, not by us, so we cannot recover them for you. Download anything you want to keep before it is deleted automatically (after 30 days by default) or before uninstalling the extension.
5. Acceptable use
Use SafeRepro lawfully. Don't use it to record people or data without permission, and don't try to break, reverse engineer for harmful purposes, or redistribute modified copies of the extension under its name.
6. Free and paid plans
The features available today are free. If paid plans are added (for example team storage or shared redaction rules), their prices and terms will be shown before you buy, and the features that work on your computer today will not be taken away from the free version.
7. No warranty
SafeRepro is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will find and redact every secret. Chrome and the issue trackers may change or remove the features SafeRepro depends on.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, EthanApp is not liable for lost data, data you shared, or any indirect damages from using SafeRepro, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (zero for the free version).
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change. Continuing to use SafeRepro after a change means you accept the new terms.
